As a counselor, my approach is solution-focused.

When we work together, my first priority is understanding the deeper WHY behind what you hope to gain from therapy.  We will then work to better understand your most challenging thoughts and feelings, while finding hidden strengths that can use to your advantage. I am here to help empower you to learn how to use your deepest WHY to change your thoughts and behaviors on your own, in the moment they occur – which is more effective and much longer lasting.

These sessions are for any women looking to get out of the typical office setting or are looking for ways to make counseling fit for the time that you have available. Stroll & Stride sessions combine exercise and counseling, which has been shown to help you with clarity and understanding while also forming a stronger connection between mind and body.

Women Individual Sessions

I help young women and mothers, from 18 to 45, to express and explore your struggles, in a space that is free from judgement or expectations. In each 55 minute session, we will work together to discover your strengths, build your resiliency, and help you:

  • find your way out of what is feeling stuck
  • change negative thoughts that lead to depression and anxiety
  • help you grow in your goals
  • navigate through challenging life transitions 
  • feel more free and more capable in your life

Pre-Natal Counseling

Whether this is your first or tenth pregnancy, our work together is centered around meeting your specific needs during your pregnancy,  challenging thought patterns, and find ways to express and explore any concerns, anxiety, or fears you may have about becoming a new mom, adding to your family,  or balancing the different roles in your life.

We will dig deep for your innate strengths that will help support you in the day-to-day challenges, to help you feel more in control, balanced, and relaxed to care for yourself and your baby. 

Family Counseling

My family counseling sessions are centered around helping educate families about signs of postpartum depression/anxiety and how to provide support for a woman who is experiencing these overwhelming thoughts and feelings. These sessions will help couples and other family members develop ways to work together and communicate with each other in a loving and assertive manner to build on family strength.

Stroll and Stride Support Group

This open group is for any women looking for ways to interact and connect with other adults while also getting some excercise and outdoor time with their babies. Combining walking and casual, “no-pressure” socializing, this group helps builds a valuable network of friendships and support, and women leave feeling uplifted and more connected to the world around them.

We meet every Tuesday at 11am – near Kennasaw Mountain.

In-Office Support Group

This open group is for women who enjoy interacting with others and learning from each other about ways to manage life’s difficulties. We discuss different topics each week, and there’s plenty of time to share openly about specific struggles you would like support in.

Every other Wednesday 7pm – 8:30pm.

Topics we explore:

  • goals
  • relationships

Therapists Lunch and Learn

I offer different lunch & learn topics based on CBT and solution-focused  theories to further assist therapists and supervisees with developing skills to work with women and their families on the topic of pregnancy, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as working with teens and adolescents and using other methods that aren’t traditional “talk therapy” topics to help them engage in sessions and develop their skills further.

Lunch & learns are the first tueday of each month, from 12:30-1:30pm. We meet at Tranquility Counseling offices conveniently located in downtown Woodstock, GA.
